Week 5

Learning Success

This week we started making news paper sculptures by rolling up newspaper into tubes. I made a sunflower, or at least it was going to be a sunflower but I changed it up later to make it more interesting. It was fun making the sculptures, but it was also hard because you couldn't always get the newspaper to bend how you like it, or roll them all to the same size. In the end it helped to just go with everything being irregular and try not to be too perfectionist, because it turned out looking pretty good anyway. Me and Mikayla decided to combine our sculptures because we thought when they were together they looked better and more interesting.

Drawing from Nature

This week in drawing from nature we started our individual projects. I decided to use animals and flowers in a series if drawings. I started off using graphite pencils only but eventually included colour pencils, and water colour pencils. I'm really excited to continue working on this project.
